- 2015-24 CMC Ski Day (no specific numbers for all events over the years)
- 2017-19 Psychology Club (3 students served)
- Food and Feelings Classes (taught 3 times just for students not community members), this class is a collaboration with the culinary, psychology, and biology/nutrition departments. The class is free to students and we share a full meal together and they get dinner to take home. *multiple classes I found private funding from community members
- Student Cookouts and Events 1-2 per year from 2017-present. We provide food to students for numerous events, I have assisted with cooking, organizing, and executing these events. These are great ways for students to connect with one another, as well as faculty and build community.
- Nursing Simulation (2012-22 and started again this year) The nursing students need to practice how to deal with mental health issues in their field. My students learn about mental illness, trauma responses and situations and overall mental health. I would coach my students on how to be situational actors for the nursing students to practice. Then the nursing faculty and I give feedback to students about how to handle situations. I also give a talk to the nursing students about self-care.
- Love and Light 5k and 10k. Sadly, in 2016 we lost one of our brightest shining students, Lauren Hoover. To fundraise for a scholarship in honor of Lauren we hosted a fun run. We were able to raise several thousand dollars and paid great tribute to Lauren. In this photo I am at Mount Everest Base Camp and Lauren’s fiancĂ© and family had asked me to spread her ashes while at Everest, a dream of Lauren’s to be there. It was an privilege to serve Lauren and her family in this way.
- Test Anxiety Workshop. Collaborating with student counselors I have offered numerous Test Anxiety Workshops for students
- Psychology Tutoring (2015-2020) open to students in all psychology sections
- Feel Awesomer. Created a website with useful mental health tools like the NERD FAMM and other mental health tips as well as a series of videos for how students and community members can navigate difficult times, like CoVid.
